- Beta-lactamase 유무를 판단하는 검사법

- Nitrocefin (Chromogenic cephalosporin)을 기질로 사용하는 디스크로, β-lactam ring이 열리면서 색이 변화함.

   양성: 황색에서 적색으로 변화

   음성: 적색에서 변화 없음.

 

본원 혈액배양검사 지침서

- Cefinase disk를 이용한 β-lactamase test는  Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Neisseria spp. 에 대해서만 시행.

= VITEK2 AST 카드가 없거나, CLSI M100 상 MIC breakpoint가 정의되지 않아 β-lactam 감수성을 알 수 없는 균들

Nitrocefin method is generally satisfactory for all organisms above.

* M. catarrhalis 의 95% 가량은 β-lactamase를 생성하여 penicillin, ampicillin, amoxicillin에 내성이므로, routine test가 권고되지 않는다.
